An alumna of the Busan Asian Film School’s International Film Business Academy, Kyoto Filmmakers Lab, Sundance Collab Film Producing Course, Platform Busan, and the ASEAN-ROK Film Leaders Incubator, Amaya Han is a Filipino creative producer, cultural consultant, and legal strategist whose work spans independent cinema, international co-productions, and regional content development across Asia.
A Cum Laude graduate in Cinema from the University of San Carlos, her thesis film "Mga Handuraw Sa Kahilitan" won over 20 awards and screened at more than 50 film festivals worldwide. She has since contributed to acclaimed titles including "Siargao", "Kita Kita", "Outside", "Friendly Fire", "Dahmer", and "Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities" on Netflix. She also served as a cultural consultant for Netflix’s "Trese" promo and led post-production for "Phantosmia", "Vanessa Hudgens: Homecoming", and "3 Words".
As Founder and CEO of ØHouse Co. (formerly TEAM78 Productions), Amaya has produced and co-produced feature films, shorts, and series across the Philippines, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, and South Korea, with ongoing projects in Cambodia, Myanmar, and Thailand. Her works have been featured in Cinemalaya, Gawad Alternatibo, MMFF, Binisaya, FACINE, and numerous other regional and international festivals. She was recognized as an Ibang Klaseng Artist (Outstanding Artist) by the BPI Search for Ten Outstanding Pinoy Expat Children and honored by the LGU of General Santos City for her global contributions to cinema.
Currently pursuing her Juris Doctor at Arellano University School of Law, Amaya aims to specialize in Media and Entertainment Law. In 2023, she served as De Facto Representative of the Regional Filmmakers Network during Senate hearings on the Eddie Garcia Law, bridging legal reform and creative advocacy to represent filmmakers and workers from all 16 Philippine regions.
Amaya continues to champion regional voices, develop cross-cultural stories, and build systems that protect and sustain the next generation of Asian storytellers.
