FROM MINDANAO TO VISAYAS:「PINIKAS」MARKS DUAL WORLD PREMIERES
Published August 25, 2025
The independent VisMin-on feature film PINIKAS, created by Sunny Toys Entertainment Productions (S.T.E.P.) and ØHouse Co. (ØHC), marked a milestone with its dual world premieres in both Mindanao and the Visayas.
The film was warmly received at the Oroquieta Film Festival in Misamis Occidental and the 15th Binisaya International Film Festival in Cebu. Both premieres gathered filmmakers, artists, and local audiences who celebrated the film’s debut as a proud contribution to VisMin cinema.
“From Mindanao to the Visayas, your presence made our world premieres truly special”, the producers shared. “We are deeply grateful to everyone who came, shared their time, and celebrated this milestone with us.”
As part of its interactive audience engagement, PINIKAS also launched an e-Talkback Form, inviting festival-goers and viewers to share their thoughts and feedback. In return, participants receive a personalized digital token of thanks, further connecting communities with the film’s journey.
