ØHouse Co. Brings「Media & Entertainment x Law Talks」Across SOCCSKSARGEN
Published July 11, 2025
Over the past several weeks, ØHouse Co. (ØHC) has been bringing its「Media & Entertainment x Law Talks」series to schools and creative communities across SocCSKSarGen (SOX). Designed to bridge creativity and legal literacy, each session was tailored to the audience—whether young students taking their first steps into media, emerging creatives finding their place in the industry, or established regional media entrepreneurs seeking deeper strategic and legal insight.
The series is led by filmmaker and future Media & Entertainment lawyer Amaya Han, CEO of ØHC and a proud daughter of the region. Drawing from over a decade of experience navigating both creative and legal landscapes, Han shares not only legal fundamentals and industry perspectives but also personal stories from her journey as a regional creative in the evolving world of media and entertainment.
Recent stops in the series include:
‣ General Santos City National High School – Special Program in the Arts (Media Arts highschool students and visiting Multimedia Arts tertiary students)
‣ Regional Science High School for Region XII (multi-hyphenate young scientists and innovators – and Han’s alma mater)
‣ Brew’n Claws via MARCVILL Productions (regional filmmakers, professionals, artists, and creative entrepreneurs)
‣ Notre Dame of Dadiangas University (Multimedia Arts tertiary students and Damean Creatives – alma mater of ØHC’s COO)
Across these venues, the talks emphasized the rights and responsibilities of media and entertainment workers, as well as the interconnected career paths spanning media, entertainment, science, and technology—underpinned by the legal frameworks that protect and enable them.
At RSHS XII, Han highlighted how scientists, coders, and inventors contribute to shaping the future of media. “It’s not only storytellers who define our creative industries”, she noted, “but also innovators building the tools and platforms that make stories possible”. Students were encouraged to see the value of protecting their work, understanding intellectual property rights, and building with purpose from the outset.
ØHC expressed its gratitude to the schools, educators, and communities who welcomed the discussions. “The energy, curiosity, and critical thinking we’ve encountered reaffirm our mission”, Han said. “We want to expand access to legal literacy and creative opportunity across the regions”.
The「Media & Entertainment x Law Talks」series will continue with upcoming sessions across SOX, Mindanao, and Luzon—both online and in-person.
For schools, organizations, or creative communities interested in hosting a session or collaborating with ØHC, inquiries are welcome.
Together, we can build a creative, ethical, and empowered future—starting from the roots.
